Everyone needs a place to start. for dogs 6 months of age or older, beginning obedience is it!
This class meets once a week for 45 minutes, for a total of 6 weeks. Exercises covered include:
Sit, down, come, stay, walk on a leash without pulling, leave it and a lot of other handy house-manners.
We do use treats for motivation and focus…and they are faded as the dog learns it’s jobs.
We will expose the dogs to some agility equipment for fun, and to see if it is something you might want to do in the future. We use Rally exercises as a part of our teaching. We will also be performing the Canine Good Citizen Test on the last night of class.
Classes are fast paced, with limited lecturing and lots of work.
