Puppy Training

DSC00239Puppy Training For The Dog You Want To Live With

Puppyhood is a lot of fun and a lot of work! It is important to remember that what you do now is shaping who your adult dog will be. Whether you plan it that way or not, every interaction you have with your puppy is training. He or she is learning what you want them do do…or not do…if your hands and voice are gentle or firm…or both…and what the boundaries will be for their world. Puppies are little “sponges” and can absorb a lot of training, even if they are young. It is a mistake to think they have to get older before you can train…or that they have to go to class to learn. Puppy class is good…but start that training now.

Puppies are exposed to a variety of objects for fun and learning.

The board teaches walking on elevated surface; the ball is for balance and tactile stimulation; the ladders are for work on proprioception-the dog’s body’s spacial awareness.
